# Cold leads

> People who showed interest and never booked, sorted by the AI, and how to bring them back.

**Cold leads** are people who wrote at least twice, showed interest and never booked or paid for anything, and haven't written for a while. The AI reads each of these chats once and notes what the person was interested in, where they stopped and why, so you can bring them back in groups instead of scrolling through old chats.

## Sort the chats

Open **Cold leads** and choose how long they've been quiet (14 days by default). Click **Sort the chats with AI**: the AI reads up to 150 chats in the background, which takes a minute or two. Each chat is read once, and again only when the person writes something new.

For each person you get:

| Column | What it shows |
| - | - |
| Interest | What they asked about, in a few words, such as Balayage or Bridal hair. The AI keeps to the same names, so people group together |
| Stopped at | Ready, then waited · Comparing · The price · Later · Just asking · Other |
| Why | The reason in a few words, only when the chat makes it clear |
| Broadcast | Whether a broadcast can reach them now, and how |

Click an interest to see only those people, and pick **Where they stopped** to narrow it further, for example everyone interested in Bridal hair who said they'd book later.

## Bring a group back

Click **Message this group**. A new [broadcast](/grow-sales/broadcasts) opens with that group already chosen. Write the message, check how many people it reaches, and send it.

<Warning>
  Each channel decides who can get a message from a business. WhatsApp allows an approved template, Telegram is open, and booking-page customers get an email. **Instagram and Messenger allow no message from a business after 7 days of silence.** Bring those people back with posts, stories or ads about what they were interested in. The interests on this page tell you what to post about.
</Warning>

People who wrote "unsubscribe" are never included, and neither is anyone who didn't agree to be contacted when the assistant asks for consent.

## Who counts as a cold lead

* Wrote at least twice, and the last time was longer ago than the period you chose (and less than a year ago).
* Never booked, never paid for an order, and wasn't moved to Booked or Paid on the [lead board](/conversations-and-customers/leads). People marked Lost are included.

<Tip>
  An AI agent can do this too: `sort_cold_leads` sorts the chats, `cold_leads` shows the groups, and `preview_broadcast` / `send_broadcast` with `kind="cold"` message a group once you approve it. See [AI agents (MCP)](/running-the-agency/ai-agents).
