# Go-live checklist

> The checks to run before an assistant answers real customers.

Run through this list with the client before you set the status to **Live**.

## Knowledge

* [ ] Prices for every service or product, as exact FAQ answers
* [ ] Opening hours, address and how to get there
* [ ] How booking, cancelling and lateness work
* [ ] Payment methods, gift cards, refunds
* [ ] What the business **doesn't** do (so the assistant says so instead of guessing)

## Behaviour

* [ ] A welcome message in every language customers use
* [ ] Starter questions that match what people ask most
* [ ] Hand-off: who gets alerted when a person is needed
* [ ] Comment replies on or off, as the client prefers

## Testing

* [ ] Ask the ten most common questions in the [playground](/build-the-assistant/playground)
* [ ] Book a test appointment from start to finish
* [ ] Try each language customers write in
* [ ] Ask something the assistant can't know and check it hands over politely

## Privacy

* [ ] The AI notice and consent question read well
* [ ] A privacy policy link is set
* [ ] Data retention matches the client's policy

## After going live

* [ ] Check [Unanswered](/build-the-assistant/unanswered-questions) daily for the first week
* [ ] Read the first [Quality check](/build-the-assistant/quality-check) the following Monday
* [ ] Send the client their [portal](/client-portal) sign-in

<Tip>
  If you're unsure, turn on [Draft and publish](/build-the-assistant/draft-and-publish) before going live. You can keep improving the assistant while customers get the last version you published.
